In the heart of Redmond, love blossomed against the backdrop of an old motel that holds stories of the past. Rachel and Alex, a couple with a taste for both vintage allure and contemporary charm, embarked on a wedding portrait journey that brought together the best of two worlds for their elopement in Redmond, Oregon.
The idea of blending vintage aesthetics with a modern touch was the vision behind Rachel and Alex’s elopement portrait session. Their desire for a cinematic wedding shoot that told their story in a unique way led us to an abandoned motel in Redmond.
As a photographer, I believe in giving couples the space to truly enjoy their portrait session.
With that in mind, I encouraged Rachel and Alex to have separate shoot days for their wedding portraits. This allowed them to unwind and be completely themselves. Which resulted in photographs that exude genuine emotions and authentic connections.
A few weeks after their elopement in Redmond, Oregon Rachel and Alex’s wedding portrait session unfolded. Against the backdrop of the old motel, we spent an hour capturing moments that effortlessly bridged the gap between vintage and modern. The weathered walls and classic architecture provided the perfect setting for their love story to unfold with a touch of nostalgia.
But the magic didn’t stop there. Our adventure took us to an abandoned gymnasium just down the street. Here, the couple’s spirits soared as music played in the background. While they danced and laughed, celebrating the joy of their elopement.
The evening was a testament to the power of blending the old with the new, the vintage with the modern. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Rachel and Alex’s elopement portraits became a timeless ode to their unique journey. Through a combination of vintage charm, modern elegance, and genuine moments, we created photographs that will forever capture the essence of their love story.
No two photography sessions of mine will ever be alike. Because I believe that each one of us has a distinct and unique personality that should shine in every photograph. And I’m here to tell your story.
